Dear Friends For anyone who is considering starting a new business or changing career, or, if you are working on any new projects, it is good to know that with Goddess Yemanya's energies appearing in this week's reading, there are ample opportunities available currently and it is definitely the time to reap the rewards of all our hard work.
This card indicates that right now is a good time for us to dive in to new opportunities and prepare ourselves for wonderful changes that are most certainly upon the horizon! 2010 here we come!! And before I proceed further, (please bear with me this is leading somewhere), I would like to share with you what Lauren C Gorgo www.thinkwithyourheart.com has to say about the final two weeks of December……. “So we made it thru not only the first two weeks of this legendary month of activation and change, but thru 2 of the most intense transitions of this entire year...11:11 and 12:12. (applause) With only one more galactic portal to survive this month (the solstice awakening party for all of humanity) we are quite literally balancing ourselves on the top of that enormous wave (that used to pummel us every time), in position and ready to coast into our new lives! As more of humanity steps into mastery and self-love thru the solstice period, the way-showers, path-pavers and all those who held steadfast to truth, will become free to experience the full rewards of universal activation (being in the right place at the right time) and the exhilarating ride into our new lives. All energetic roadblocks that have held us back for so long will finally dissipate as we begin 2010 with the forward moving momentum that will catapult us into the new and true”. Phew! The Summer Solstice of December 21st is nearly upon us (tomorrow), and not only do we have this wonderful occasion of celebration and alignment with the bounty of Midsummer together with the Solstice wave of activation, we have the energies of Goddess Yemanya poised to grant us all our heartfelt desires! Oh wow! We are in for a magnificent ride! Summer Solstice (meaning “standing still sun”) is also know in the Pagan tradition as Litha, and is the time of year when the sun is closest to the equator and life and light are in abundance. The sun is at its peak and we experience the longest day and shortest night of the entire year. We are offered an opportunity to give thanks and align with all the blossoming and ripening of Mother Gaia, ….and….wait for it……. as appreciation flows through us, whatever we are grateful for will grow (a universal law of aligning with that which we desire to manifest). This sends a clear message to the universe, “I really like and appreciate what I have,” and the Universe will lovingly reply, “by focusing upon gratitude for the abundance that you have, your prosperity will be increased! Hey presto! More of the same! What a wonderful Universal Law! Now back to our reading…………..Goddess Yemanya is an African and Brazilian Goddess credited with creating the sea. She's a protector, supplier and one who grants wishes. Every December 31, people in Brazil celebrate Yemanya by casting white flowers and miniature boats upon the sea. We can work with Yemanya by putting a tiny boat into the sea and asking for a wish. If Yemanya grants our wish, her waves will swallow the miniature boat, and if she denies the wish, the boat will wash ashore. Since the sea is the root of the Earth's life, Yemanya's connection to it makes her a very powerful and nurturing mother goddess. Various meanings of this card: Don't hesitate: This is the right thing to do: Your prayers are being answered: Get ready for a big and happy change: Celebrate your success: Know that you're qualified and ready for this new opportunity: Just like the cycles of the Seasons and the flow and ebb of the Ocean, our lives move in waves and tides, and when an opportunity presents itself all we need to do is dive in, ride the wave and reap the rewards. And with all that is happening at this moment in our evolutionary time ….how can we not be gracefully carried by this magnificent wave of opportunity? Happy surfing!
