We often doubt our own ability to rationalise or to solve issues in our lives. We believe that we need to look to outside sources to find comfort or solutions. Very often these sources can lead us to self destruction and misguide us even further. What we don't realise is that we all have an innate wisdom that can provide us with the solutions to even the most dire circumstances. The problem is that we are not raised nor encouraged to acknowledge this inner wisdom. This is partly due to the fact that modern man has lost touch with many of the ancient wisdoms and in our connection with the laws of nature. We have come to live in a very synthetic and technical world where evertything has a practical, tried and tested solution. A world where our own individuality is discouraged. What we have lost sight of is that each of us is unique. We are unique because we are all travelling our own path of destiny and we all have our own life lessons to learn. This is what makes us unique, so although we are all joined in energy and day to day experiences, we each have to find our own spiritual path and our own wisdom. In today's world we are encouraged from a very young age to conform to what the main stream sees as acceptable. Any behaviour that seems outside of these boundaries is stymied, condemned and halted. We can become confused and frustrated. We are encouraged to seek instant answers; instant gratification. We are constantly presented with and compared to a world of perfection, where all that is perfect is in unison and identical. We want to avoid what makes us feel uncomfortable and we want to avoid admitting our own flaws. It is denial that keeps us stuck in the same place for years and years. It is when we are unable to move beyond the boundaries of our own perceived limitations that we make no progress on our spiritual path. The external places we seek answers and comfort from are often superficial and offer no real wisdom or insight into what it is that we are trying to resolve within. Many past times do just that, they pass the time - but pass the time without offering any learning or any wisdom. That way we hide from who we really are, escape our reality. We become depressed and unhappy with our lives and this in turn leads us to greater dissatisfaction so we try even harder to overcome what hold's us so tightly in it's grasp. It is only when we are willing to acknowledge and accept ourselves that we are able to source the power that we have within and then we are able to begin to find our solutions to the issues that trouble us. This realisation may come suddenly to many of us, and as we embark on this new path of belief we begin to discover a whole new world opening up to us. When this world opens up in our minds, it becomes very difficult to imagine the thoughts and attitudes we had before! Thoughts and attitudes that limited our lives, limited our spiritual growth and limited our wisdom. Thoughts and attitudes that kept us trapped in our own minds; chained to our own misery. When we surrender ourselves to life without our attempts to coerce and control, life will take us where we are intended to be. When we find acceptance, opportunities will present themselves to us. It is this understanding of surrender to life that will put us in touch with our own inner power and wisdom. We will learn to listen to our sixth sense, our conscience and our innate knowledge, free of outside interference and influence.
